While I always thought of velvet as a fabric for older women, this month’s issue of Vogue says otherwise. With young designers such as Alexander Wang designing hip velvet bomber jackets, velvet has become the new obsession for Fall.

Erin Wasson is a force to be reckoned with. She started as a simple girl from Texas and soon managed to appear on the covers of numerous fashion magazines. Not only is Erin an extremely successful model, but with her line for x RVCA she has become a designer. Her tank tops and t-shirts can be seen on very famous celebrities. When Alexander Wang made it big with his first collection, Erin Wasson, was his stylist. She helped craft Wang’s distressed, innovative technique his collection is known for. Being a stylist, Wasson has a definitive eye for what is fashionable. Her casual sexy cool can be seen in her everyday life.
