Look at how gorgeous Diane von Furstenberg was when she was young! She’s still gorgeous now obviously, but these photos are amazing!

After browsing through many of the fashion week collections, I noticed a recurring face. While obviously models can walk for more than one collection, this face seemed to stand out amongst the other waifs. It was the model Abbey Lee. I went through several collections and she always seemed to be wearing the best outfit. I may be able to brag about knowing the names of models that repeatedly appear on the pages of Vogue such as Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes or Hilary Rhoda, but there are some established models that I have never heard of. Abbey is one of these girls.
Winning the Girlfriend Covergirl Model Search in Australia in 2004, Abbey modeled for campaigns such as Levi’s and H&M. She soon moved to New York in 2007 and signed with Next Management. Despite a fainting stint at the Alexander McQueen show last Spring, Abbey has maintained her success. She has been photographed by Mario Testino, Craig McDean and even Terry Richardson (for Purple magazine’s Fall 2009 Issue). Known for her tattoos, nose piercing and gap between her two front teeth, Abbey is a force to be reckoned with. I didn’t even know that she modeled for my favorite 2008 Gucci show until now!
Here are some pictures of the Abbey Lee…

Summer is approaching fast…April is almost over and most Boston colleges get out in early May. The whole idea of seasons is entirely new for me. It’s a part of the East coast I’m starting to fall in love with. Winter is harsh, but watching those little tulip plants blossom out of the icy dirt. Let’s just say…Nature is pretty amazing. It’s time to shift gears. Swap out our Frye Boots, Cashmere wraps and peacoats for maxi-dresses, gladiator sandals and rounded sunglasses. Summer trends can be pretty exciting. This year a huge trend is everything Moroccan inspired. While I can’t say I’ve ever been to Morocco, this season it’s not hard to pretend I have. With beautiful bold prints, gold/silver embellishments, flowy bohemian silohuettes and statement jewelry, it’s easy to say we just got back from Marrakesh? Here are some Moroccan inspired items to stock your wardrobe this summer…
